Following on from The Memory Tree in 2019 Echoic Audio returned to Shangri-La at Glastonbury Festival in 2022 with a new sound installation called Hivemind.
A social sound design sculpture that gives people a chance for their voices to be heard via the opportunity of pre-recorded messages.
Built from recycled speakers and old audio equipment, the sculpture broadcasts an engaging sonic documentary of thoughts and impressions of modern society.
All the recordings have been threaded together creating a living soundscape, reflecting the cultural mind of our times.
